OBJECTIVES & GOALS
Post Up is looking for a solution to help freelancers and remote workers on their app to find nearby public spaces, such as coffee shops with great amenities. My role was to run a design-sprint to quickly test out possible solutions, draft out end-to-end experiences and solidify a design plan that helps users easily find a public space to work from.
TASKS
User challenges and goals, sketch, wireframes and prototype
User Challenges
-
Spends more time browsing for public spaces than working
-
Have trouble finding a place to work and settle in
User Goals
-
Save time by spending less time browsing for a place to work at
-
Be productive and get priorities completed on time
-
Find a public space with basic amenities
My first approach was to map out possible end-to-end users experience goals. Then, I sketched out eight critical screens and narrowed down to one that seemed to be the best solution.
To reduce user's stress and frustrations of having to browse through numerous workspaces on the app, my solution sketch presented with top five picks and recommendations that best aligned with user's preference of workspace.
The thought process was to provide a quick and an efficient way for users to view their options instantly, saving time in finding for workplaces.

PROTOTYPES
LEARNING & INSIGHTS
Through my process, I was able to observe how the user interacted with my prototype and learn how to determine what functions and features are most needed for the users to reach their goals.
